The Lowcountry's society is a reflection of its absence of government. While some living there do have intentions which might be called noble, they are often overshadowed by those drunk with freedom. Flagrant displays of magic, discouraged in lawful towns, are not uncommon; and one of the Lowcountry's most infamous traits may be its slave trade. Unwitting passers-through may find themselves swept off by slavers, forced into all manner of servitude, from pleasure, through combat and labor both physical and mental.

(OOC: This can really be whatever you want, but be aware that the often "backward" mindsets held here will often be held in spite of contrasting values in the surrounding areas. . .for instance, people will be aware that slavery is widely considered vile and wrong, unless they're astonishingly sheltered or something. The proximity to places like Espyn City and Celfaire (two cities more socially progressive than most real life modern countries) is simply too close for most people not to be aware that their activities are considered immoral. So most people here will be making a conscious choice to be bad/unfair/whatever.)
